We take a lot of things on faith in this world. On a simple level we pay for a product on line across the Internet and expect it to reach us. Most of the time it does. Faith in God can be a little more interesting. Will God deliver on time? Is God a slot machine – we put our wish in one way and out it comes as we requested.
There is a Middle Eastern saying ‘Trust in God, but tie your camels first.’
I believe this means do everything to the best of your ability but when you are stuck and feel you can do no more than ask God for help and put your faith in him.
It is no good asking God for help and then doubting he will help you! That is like telling someone they are great … But.
What is faith? For me it is not necessarily a blind belief in something rather an acceptance that it is something we put into the hands of a higher force.
